Street Closures around Allora
To improve safety and accessibility, Southern Downs Regional Council has commenced works to rehabilitate Allora Drive and Forde Street in Allora.
By yesterday morning the Council workers had already made good progress with the bitumen removed and grading/levelling underway.

As part of these works Council will be remediating the road surface of Allora Drive (between Allora Clifton Road and Jubb Street), and sections of Forde Street (between Jubb Street and Warwick street), which will include: scraping the existing surface of the road, laying fresh asphalt to resurface the road and completing line marking works.
Works will take place between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, from this week until mid June 2026, weather and site conditions permitting.

If you live close-by to the works, you may also notice increased levels of noise and dust associated with construction and changed property access for some properties. Access to private properties will be facilitated by traffic controllers.
