Hoot corner vandalised!
Mt Molar’s beloved tourist attraction, Hoot Corner, was vandalised over the weekend with only one owl left standing.
Hoot Corner was left with only one owl standing after it was vandalised on Friday night two weeks ago.

Initially set up by Russell Free to warn motorists on Fogarty Road about the corner, Hoot corner soon became a community effort with the sign made by Lindsay Muller and owls dropped off by the community.
It was around Friday night that the parliament of ornament owls was vandalised.
Russell Free heard about it from neighbour, Lily Holz.
“I expected it when I first put them up, they lasted a while but it would have been kids that's all,” Russell said.

He however laments that fact.
“There’s more of the stuff (vandalism) happening - thirty years ago you could leave a car on the side of the road and you wouldn’t have to worry about it.”
When he gets the chance, Russell is intent on repairing Hoot Corner.
