Honouring Australia’s first First Nations police officer this Reconciliation Week
Dr Colin Dillon AM, APM, a proud Kombumerri man of the Yugambeh Nation, made history when he joined the Queensland Police Service (QPS) at just 20 years old in 1965.
Dr Colin Dillon AM, APM, was Australia’s first, First Nations police officer, joining the Queensland Police Service 61 years ago and eventually rising to the rank of Inspector.
