Families enjoy Mainly Music
The usual Sunday morning worship service at the Pittsworth Uniting Church made way for music, movement and laughter on the weekend as the congregation hosted a special Mainly Music session.

Instead of the regular 9am service, about 20 children of all ages, along with their families, gathered to enjoy singing, dancing and interactive activities.
The chairs were pushed to the side to form a large open space in the centre of the church.
Congregation members were slightly concerned when no one had arrived by 8.50.
Then a wave of children burst through the doors of the church at 9.
The plan for the session was to have lots of fun, for parents to dance with their children (even if it embarrassed them), and to stay after the session for a terrific homemade morning tea.
Story time, which was led by Pastor Willie Liebenberg, was about the Parable of the Sower.
It described a farmer scattering seed on four types of soil - the path, rocky ground, among thorns and on good soil.
The story highlighted how people respond to God’s Word in different ways depending on the condition of their hearts, just as seeds grow differently depending on the soil where they fall.
The session ended by celebrating the 13th birthday of participant, Preston.
Mainly Music is held during school term on a Thursday morning, so this special Sunday session gave mums, dads and the siblings of regular participants, the opportunity to experience the session as a family.
The program helps support children’s early development through music and play, build confidence, form friendships and feel part of a local community.
