Clean sweep for the Charles Family
Charles Farming Co. from Cambooya scored well in the RASQ Crop Competition when awards were announced at the Toowoomba Royal Show last Friday morning.

Charles Farming Co. took out all three prizes in the Dryland Sorghum category with their top crop being judged RASQ Reserve Champion Crop for 2025.
First prize in the Dryland Sorghum competition was for a crop of Pacific Sterling which yielded 12.169 tonnes per hectare.
The Charles Family’s crop of Pacific Acclaim took 2nd prize after yielding 12.129t/ha.
Third placed was their crop of Pacific Halifax which produced a yield of 12.10t/ha.
Melvin and Joshua Mengel from Nobby also did well taking all three places in the Dryland Maize category.
First, for a crop of Pac 343 at 8.26t/ha, 2nd for a crop of Pac 606 producing 7.722t/ha and 3rd a crop of Pac 627 yielding 7.552t/ha.
