Chappy Week celebrated in style
The Pittsworth District Chaplaincy Support Team hosted a Bush Dance on Friday, June 12, at Bottletree Hall (Pittsworth State School) in celebration of Chaplaincy Week.
The event was labelled a success with around 80 people in attendance.
The chappies enjoyed spending time with the community, especially the youth.
Entry was $10 and included hotdogs and supper.
This year the focus of the event was not in raising funds but to celebrate Chaplaincy Week which runs between 30th May and 6th June.
It is a national event hosted by SU Australia to raise awareness of the value of school chaplains and celebrating the work they do for the young people of our nation.
The talents of the Pittsworth State High School’s string ensemble were also on display at the bush dance on Friday, with an array of delightful tunes.
The chappies in attendance were Ros (Pittsworth State High School), Clare (Kindon State School and Cecil Plains State School), Steve (Pittsworth State School), Phil (Southbrook Central State School).
