Car wash starts to take shape
Construction of a car wash on Yandilla Street in Pittsworth is beginning to take shape with the walls of the wash bays being erected.
The car wash is located at 138 Yandilla Street, the former site of Oberhardt Transport, and adjoins the existing Arek Fuel service station.
The development was approved in 2024 for a 2,223 square metre site in the middle of the block for three manual wash bays, a single auto wash bay, two dog wash units, plant room and staff/reception/storage room.
One of the manual wash bays, referred to as a super wash bay and located at the southern end of the converted building, will cater for larger vehicles such as small trucks/busses and vehicles with caravans.
Pressure-wash pumps are to be installed inside a dedicated plant room located in between the auto wash bay and superwash bay.
The proposed trading hours are between 6am and 6pm, seven days a week.
